On July 3, 2015, the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) and World Vision Development Foundation signed an agreement in a bid to encourage more overseas Filipinos to make a difference in the lives of marginalized Filipino children.  The two organizations agreed to join forces in tapping overseas donors through the use of their social media platforms and other traditional media.  The CFO will link World Vision to its diaspora partners, and campaign for support with Filipino communities abroad during some of its activities abroad.

The CFO, through its Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino (LINKAPIL) or Link for Philippine Development, has been engaging overseas Filipinos to support development efforts in the Philippines in the areas of education, health and welfare, small infrastructure, livelihood and skills transfer since 1990.  World Vision, on the other hand, is dedicated to working and advocating for the poverty alleviation of children, families and communities.
