PASC continues to support the society’s underprivileged

he Philippine Australian Sports and Culture, Inc. (PASC) conducted their Philippine Tour 2015. As part of their roster of activities, the PASC delegation visited the following institutions last April 14, 2015: Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), Home for the Angels and Hiyas ng Pilipinas. 

PASC paid a courtesy call to Usec. Mary Grace Tirona of CFO. Together with Usec. Tirona is Ms. Marie Del Rosario-Apattad, (Officer-in-Charge) and Ms. Jade Rodriguez of the Project Management Division. The PASC delegation was headed by Mr. Manny Castillo, the reigning Miss Philippines – Australia, Ms. Glyssa Perez and Charity Queen Australia, Ms. Hannah Arnold with the rest of the PASC Office Bearers.




As part of their annual visit to the institutions that they support, the group went to the Technological University of the Philippines. They were welcomed by the University President - Dr. Adora S. Pili, and Prof. Rosemarie Theresa M. Cruz – Director, Office for Student Affairs. The two remaining student-beneficiaries including the first graduate of PASC scholarship were also present. The group entrusted to the TUP administration the educational assistance amounting to PhP 50,000. Prof. Cruz provided the status update on the PASC scholars as well as on the previous material donation of PASC to TUP. The body also discussed matters pertaining to the arrangements on the scholarship grants.


PASC  5After which, the PASC delegates headed to the Home for the Angels. Executive Director Ma. Evelina “Beng” Ilagan-Atienza welcomed the group. The two beauty-title holders enthusiastically mingled with the children. The P 50,000 worth of monetary assistance was given to the institution to support the upbringing of the children.

The Hiyas ng Pilipinas dance troupe was the last stop of their tour for the day. The dance troupe presented a glimpse of their routine which was commended by the PASC delegation.
