For public schools experiencing classroom shortages, their utmost dream is for this problem to be eliminated or at least lessened.

Taking up this advocacy of contributing to the eventual eradication of classroom shortages in the Philippines, the Feed the Hungry, Inc. (FtH), a non-profit, charitable organization in United States and longtime partner of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) continues to face and confront this challenge by providing the Filipino children assistance to improve educational facilities in public schools in the Philippines.

The ground breaking for the construction of one-storey, 
two-classroom building at the Dayap Elementary School
 in Calauan, Laguna. 

On 15 September 2015, the Dayap Elementary School (DES), a public school in Calauan, Laguna with a populace of 1,058 students (Kindergarten to Grade 6) and with classroom-student ratio of 1 : 76, received a one-storey, two-classroom building donation from the FtH.  This donation is jointly funded by the FtH, Dr. & Mrs. Bayani Manalo, Philippine Medical Foundation, and Mr. & Mrs. Arturo Pangilinan.

According to Mr. Felicisimo Maraña, principal of DES, the school was forced to use its covered court. It also implements holding of classes in shifts just to accommodate all classes of the school.

The DES was chosen as a beneficiary-school of the FtH due to school’s need for additional classrooms and upon the endorsement of the Department of Education-Division of Laguna and the CFO.
