Towards a longer term impact, Filipinos overseas also supported the educational needs of some students in the public schools in the Philippines. Engr. Oliver Fabros from Qatar and Mr. Wilfredo Aguilar of the Digerati Association in Dubai, UAE, both donated funds for the purchase of school supplies. The said donation was coursed through the Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino (LINKAPIL) Program of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO).

The CFO facilitated the turn-over of the funds to four (4) public schools in Sto. Niño, Cagayan for the purchase of the needed school supplies for their students. Among these schools were: Balagan Elementary School, Nag-Uma Elementary School, Tamucco Elementary School, and Namuccayan Elementary School. A total of 621 students from the said public schools benefitted from the said donation.
