CFO FACILITATES PAFAI SCHOLARSHIP GRANT DURING DON BOSCO YOUTH CENTER – TONDO’S BENEFACTORS AND INDUSTRY PARTNERS’ DAY

MANILA – The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) partakes in a day full of gratitude and appreciation during the Benefactors and Industry Partners’ Day of the Don Bosco Youth Center Tondo – Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) on 7 February 2023.

The program commemorated the significant contribution of its external partners, with overseas Filipinos as one of the main sponsors, who continue to believe and put their trust in the Center in training and educating the youth of Tondo to become not only skilled workers, but good Christians and honest citizens.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Among recognized was the * Progressive Alliance of Filipino America, Inc. (PAFAI) * represented by Mr. Antonio de Vera and Ms. Lourdes de Vera. Dr. Remedios Coquia of the Philippine Association of Metropolitan Washington Engineers (PAMWE) was also present during the event.

 

Scholarship Grants Given by PAFAI

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A donation of PHP 105,000 was handed over by PAFAI to Fr. Gaudencio Carandang, Rector of the Center through the CFO’s Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino (LINKAPIL) Program. This amount is enough to support the education of two (2) indigent but highly qualified students for one academic year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PAFAI also gave eight (8) units of android tablets, Bluetooth speakers, and headphones to students whose names were luckily picked during the raffle draw.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since the 1980s, PAFAI has been able to support the education of 44 Filipino youth who completed their training in the Center

The event culminated with networks of Filipino diaspora from the United States showing their interest in joining forces with CFO as development partners in the Motherland through the LINKAPIL Program.
